“I was a bit worried in the beginning when Martain asked me to be his supervisor with only the information that he wanted to do ’something with Portugal and European integration’ and had practically already packed his bags to leave for Lisbon. [...] Our cooperation eventually worked out quite well, though he could be a little pushy sometimes. [...] His parents, I don’t know if they are here, but they should be very proud of him.”
